Fart Maker is, by far, the most interesting tool we have created during our first year of experimentation. It is without shame that I can declare that members of the College spend, on average, approximately 10 hours per week creating original never-before-heard farts. Our primary interest (other than endlessly entertaining ourselves) is to try and empirically uncover what makes farts funny. Of course, all farts are funny…period, full-stop. However, we do feel that there is a range of humour at play here and while the band may be narrow, it feels absolutely worth exploring.
One moment that arises now-and-again with the Maker, though more frequently when sampling the real-deal, we have come to label “the tail”. Put simply, this is a small “accent-fart” that arrives just at the end of the “primary-fart” and serves as a little bonus – or surprise – just when you thought the whole affair was concluded. It almost always produces a significant reaction. We became so thoroughly convinced of its power that we dove back in to the Maker’s code and added a “tail” slider to the interface. The result is nothing short of stupendous, and we invite you to give it a try.
